Clarity Workplace Solutions is delighted to welcome Peter Donegan to the team as Manager of our factual investigations department, effective 16 January.
This newly created role has come about due to the growth of Clarity Workplace Solutions in 2022, and the growth forecast in 2023 and beyond.
As Factual Investigations Manager, Peter will be responsible for:
- Leading the team of investigators
- Training and development
- Client relationship management
- Quality assurance
- Workflow management
Peter has a background in law, business and investigations, which CEO, Mathew Seeto, says makes him a triple threat.
“We’re delighted Peter has joined the team. Beyond his experience as a factual investigator, Peter’s expertise in legal practice and small business means he is uniquely qualified to strengthen our team and assist our clients,” said Mr Seeto.
We sat down with Peter for a quick 5-minute Q&A to learn more about his background.
Tell us a bit about your work history?
My first job was with Ansett Airlines and I stayed there for three years, before starting my law degree at Monash.
After graduation, I completed my articles with Russell Kennedy and worked there for a couple of years before moving to Herbert Geer & Rundle. I then moved on to Abbott Stillman & Wilson (now Thomson Geer Lawyers) for 10 years, eventually becoming a Salaried Partner. My last role in legal practice was with TAC law and I worked there for three years.
The next chapter of my career was in business – I purchased a Bakers Delight franchise in Balwyn. I kept that franchise for almost seven years and what that taught me was how to make outstanding products, develop systems for efficient production, get the best out of my team, market the store and develop relationships with regular customers that persist to the present day.
My next move was to Probe in 2013 as Investigations Manager, and I was there for nearly 10 years.
What do you enjoy about factual investigations work?
I really enjoy the various relationships that develop over time with insurer/solicitor and employer clients and our investigators. I like the challenge of making sure we provide our clients with as much information as possible so they can make informed decisions.
Why have you joined the team at Clarity?
Over the years, I had been aware of the quality and competitiveness of Clarity Workplace Solutions. I met with Vincent Quattropani and Mathew Seeto, discussed the role and it was a good fit, so it was an easy decision to accept an offer to join the team.
What insights will you bring to Clarity’s clients and team from your experience?
I am fortunate to have three streams in my career, which I bring to Clarity, and I am confident that my experience as a lawyer, private business owner and Investigation Manager will be valuable to Clarity’s clients and team.
Finally, which sports teams do you barrack for?
My father played seven games for Collingwood in 1958 and I seem to carry that genetic gift/mutation, depending of course on your perspective. In all other sports, I just like to enjoy a good contest.
